Gollum gets a September release date for The Lord of the Rings

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum has been announced by Daedalic Entertainment and Nacon.

The next stealth adventure will be released on September 1.

The game, based on a trilogy of books that require no introduction, reveals the history of Gollums'' behind-the-scenes experiences in The Fellowship of the Ring.

Gollum, who lost his ring to Bilbo Baggins, decides to leave the Misty Mountains and embark on a dangerous journey that takes him from the dungeons of Barad-dur to the realm of the Wood-elves in Mirkwood in search of his valuable.

Gollum will be able to use his cunning and sneaking abilities to avoid dangers before embarking on his journey through Middle-earth. However, he will also have to deal with his Stoor-self Smeagol (Stoors were early Hobbits) in question. It will be up to you to decide if Gollum wants to have the upper hand when it comes to making important decisions or if Smeagol should take over.

A selection of well-known characters from the books will be provided on your journey through the game.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S when it gets released. The Nintendo Switch version is expected to arrive later this year.
