Ubisoft plugs away at long-awaited sequel
The entire sequel to the 2003 action-adventure has gone so dark, that fans are already wondering if the title is going for a more extensive development.
The cyberpunkian project is both far from canned and equally far from completion. A new job listing from Ubisoft Barcelona sees the developer looking for a Senior Gameplay animator to jump on board with Jade and its employees, with the listing suggesting that it will be one of the most ambitious games on the market.
There are believed to be only five Ubisoft studios working on the project, which has only seen a single cinematic trailer, back at E3 2018. While production on the purgatory follow-up progressing, it is difficult to deny that enthusiasts might be relieved of the dangers before Ubisoft will release any in-game footage.
A film adaptation for Netflix is currently in pre-production. At this rate, we might be more likely to see the film premiere before the games sequel comes to an end.
