Danny, who has spent his whole life in isolation at a remote house with his father Steve, is told at 18 that he has discovered that hes lived a lie and that the outside world is not filled with horrific monsters, as he has been led to believe.

As Danny grows older he begins to question their experiences, making or break them as he confronts the real world.

Danny stars as Lewis Gribben, Rory Keenan plays Dannys dad Steve, Lisa McGrillis plays Sue, Steve''s sister and Dannys aunt, and Samuel Bottomley plays Aaron, Dannys cousin, and Sues son.

From the C4 news, his father Steve bought a house in the middle of nowhere and locked Danny in, saying that the world outside was full of monsters waiting to take him away. Just like they took his mother.

Steve believed he had done the right thing by bringing Danny up safe and warm, away from murderers and wars and drugs, and governments and burgers and evil.

Danny grew up in the United States after eighteen years, listening to Benny Goodman records and watching old movies without sad endings. And that was exactly what he learned. And he was happy.

Danny turns eighteen, his whole world - everything he has ever known - explodes in an instant, and he has to come to terms with a new world that he never knew existed.

Somewhere Boy release date
