Will Mellor, a 2022 contestant, has shared his secret strategy that might help him win the coveted Glitterball Trophy.
The actor made his dancing debut on Saturday (September 24) as 2022 resumed its famous 20th series.
After he beat wildlife photographer Hamza Yassin on the leaderboard, he quickly became a fan-favourite to win.
After impressing on the dancefloor, Will gave away his personal intention to help secure his success.
"Ive been known to flirt a bit with judges on my side as a result of this practice," he said of the Radio Times (opens in a new tab).
When asked by What To Watch, Will said how he felt having his dance moves criticized by the judges, but also about using his flirting skills to win over the judges.
"I''m not concerned, but that''s what they''re here for." If the dancers say it was wrong, then I''ll go: "I''ll try to avoid it next week." A bit of flirting works well with judges. Me and Craig Revel Horwood will have a little flirt-off!"
When Will played Jambo Bolton in the mid-1990s, he then went on to play Gaz Wilkinson in DC Spike Tanner inand, most recently, drug dealer Harvey Gaskell.
Despite being hesitant to perform reality shows, the television sensation admitted that his father''s death was the reason why he signed up to participate in the country''s favorite dancing competition.
"I''ve always been cradled to do any reality shows. I was always too concerned about whether or not doing anything would affect my career in a negative way. But then I lost my dad in 2020 and thought: I''ve got to grab life and stop being afraid of anything. You must do things that affect you a little bit, leave your comfort zone, and make fresh memories."
Every Saturday evening, 2022 is available on BBC One.
