Season 1 episode 1 of "In the Throes of Increasing Wonder" Airdate: October 2, 2022 "Almost 50 years have passed since Daniel Molloy first interviewed Louis de Pointe du Lac. Times, technology, and Molloy have all changed. Louis has sent a letter asking Molloy to meet at a place of Louis'' choice."
What is Season 1 of Interview with the Vampire?
Here''s a complete AMC series synopsis:
"Based on Anne Rice''s innovative gothic novel, follow Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) and Claudias (Bailey Bass), a fascinating tale of love, blood, and immortality, as described by journalist Daniel Molloy. But Louis'' uncomfortable new powers come with a violent price, and the introduction of Lestats'' latest fledgling, the child vampire Claudia, will soon embark on a decades-long path of revenge and atonement. "
vampire Louis tells Daniel Molloy, a reporter who was born in Louisiana, her vampire daughter Claudia, and other men in New Orleans and Paris.
Louis, Lestat, Daniel, and Claudia will be in the new series, but it''s not exactly how their stories are related.
When it comes to bringing Anne Rice to television, executive producer Mark Johnson stated that keeping her legacy carries great pressure and responsibility. "It''s imperative that we do not disappoint her fans," says the author. "We must make sure this story, these characters, and this narrative, be respected for a modern audience."
With this statement in mind, there is no doubt that the AMC series will be different from the book, as shown by first look photographs. Louis de Pointe du Lac is a 24-year-old widower and plantation owner, and in the series he is a 33-year-old businessman. New characters are being introduced as the setting shifts from 1700s to 1800s New Orleans to what appears to be 1920s and 1930s New Orleans.
While the first look photographs show us all feeling and feel alike, we must say, really fantastic. Moreover, what they show us does not resemble anything from the 1994 film, nor does it resemble anything from the book. That said, if we can remember that all of them will remain in mind.
When it comes to the first look photographs, two words come to our mind: eye candy. This is going to be a visually stunning production.
The first picture depicts Lestat and Louis in tux, looking like they''re on their way to a party.
The next photo reveals a apparently still-mortal Louis cigarette and playing cards.
The third picture depicts a new character named Antoinette, a lounge singer who captures the two vampires'' attention.
Lestat and Louis walk through the French Quarter in the final picture.
Who is involved in the interview with the Vampire cast?
Sam Reid will bring charismatic Lestat de Lioncourt to life in. He is an Australian actor known for his role as John Glenn in and for his role in ''The Lord of the Rings.''
Jacob Anderson will play a Lestats vampire sidekick Louis. Anderson is a familiar face to fantasy fans after appearing as Grey Worm in. He has also played in and.
Daniel Molloy, an american reporter, will play Eric Bogosian. Bogosians recent roles include and.
Newcomers include Bailey Bass as Claudia, Kalyne Coleman as Louis sister Grace, Maura G. Hooper as Antoinette, and Christian Robinson as Graces beau.
