Squid Game season 2 plot

Season 1 of **contains spoilers.

After the start of the season, we discovered that Oh Il-Nam (Player 001) was passionate about the games the whole time, and that he didn''t even die during the events of episode 6. He was confronted by sole survivor Seong Gi-hun (Player 456) in the season finale, revealing that he created the games to entertain the bored ultra-rich like himself, where they could bet on which players would survive. It was also revealed that he took part in the games for

On his way to the airport, Oh Il-Nam dies from his brain tumour and Seong Gi-hun visits his daughter. Nonetheless, he locates the same man who recruited him into the games, and spots the card away from an unintentionally citizen who would be forced to participate. After dialing the number, he decides not to take on the plane and returns to the city, hoping to gain revenge on the game''s creators.

With the cliffhanger ending, there''s plenty of room for more drama, and Hwang Dong-hyukhas suggested that a second season could focus on Oh Il-Nam''s historical past and the early days of the murderous games.

"Oh Il-nam is a man of huge success from nothing," he said. As we learn from the term money man, he is a veiled big shot in the financial industry.

"It appears, however, that how he yearns for his past happy moments montres that he has lost many things, including his family and his humanity at the expense of success. If there will be a season two, we might also reveal his past tale. "It''s not surprising that he has surpassed expectations," said the author.

Which actors might return for Season 2 of Squid Game?

Many of the characters that we grew to love in season 1 would likely be based on Oh Il-Nam rather than bringing O Yeong-suto back.

Hwang revealed the return of two characters in an interview with Deadline. In their interview, Gi-hun, a fan favorite, will join the cast of Lee Byung-hun.
