The PlayStation Stars loyalty program has been confirmed worldwide.
The program is now available in Asia, before it will be shipped to the Americas on the 5th October and in Europe on the 13th October.
In the State of Play, we got a sneak peek at how the program works earlier this month, and Sony has given us more details today.
Players may earn rewards through completing a variety of campaigns and activities. These range in difficulty, from playing any game in a month, to acquiring a specific trophy or being one of the first players in a region to win a platinum trophy.
PlayStation Stars will primarily be available on iOS and Android, but you may also access it via the PlayStation website.
The program will also include four "status levels," which will provide players with access to higher rewards and benefits.
VGC claims that in Japan, Level 4 status members will receive prior access to customer support.
This comes as the company announced that it had received one-to-one customer service for PlayStation customers on Twitter.
It''s unclear at this time whether the same benefit will be available in other countries. Eurogamer has asked Sony for a comment.
