As part of Team Samurai, fighters Haohmaru, Nakoruru, and Darli Dagger have been announced as part of the SNK team. The three characters will join the title. The new DLC will be released on October 4, 2022. [Thanks, ryokutya!]
Team Samurai consists of old and new characters from the franchise. Haohmaru, a ronin modeled after legendary swordsman Miyamoto Musashi, first appeared in the original in 1993. Nakoruru, a character inspired by Ainu culture, also appeared in the prequel as well as the previous. Darli Dagger, a shipwright, was also introduced in the 2019 prequel.

A new trailer for the Lillien Knights pirate group features interesting interactions between new and existing characters. Haohmaru, for example, reveals a previous encounter with Mai Shiranui, although she insists that they have never met. When Darli Dagger meets Jenet, the leader of the Lillien Knights pirate group, she asks if she could see her boat.

In 1993, the arcade fighting game, also known as in Japan, was developed. Other titles, such as the aforementioned, and the crossover title, have appeared.
Team Samurai is the fourth and final confirmed DLC team for 2022, according to SNK.
The for will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 4, 2022.
