Wordle does not repeat words if it is able to assist it. Perhaps one day the New York Times will need to begin recycling old words, but there''s a slew of viable five-letter words to choose from, so for now, you may be able to use this archive to check if the word you''re about to think has already been used previously, and therefore does not exist as the solution to today''s puzzle.

What is Wordle?

Wordle is a tiny daily word game that takes place on a grid. The aim is to detect the hidden five-letter word for that day, and you do that by entering in five-letter phrases as guesses.

With each guess you enter, the tiles of some letters may brighten yellow or green, giving you information about whether any of the letters you have used appear in the solution word:

  • Green: Green means that letter appears in the same place in the solution word.
  • Yellow: Yellow means the letter appears in the solution word, but in a different position.
  • Grey: Grey means that letter does not appear in the solution word.

Using this information, you can gradually learn more about which letters are in the solution word, hopefully giving you the information you need to know it correctly. If you don''t find the solution word by your sixth guess, then you''ve lost Wordle that day.

You may only play one Wordle per day, so once you''ve completed today''s Wordle, you''ll have to wait until tomorrow to play again. Wordle is also known for its excellent beginning words.

Graham has been out scouring the interwebs searching for great Wordle-inspired puzzles to play. There''s Absurdle, which is mostly composed of curse words; there''s Worldle, in which you must guess a country of the world based on its shape; there''s Waffle, which shows you an entire film in a tiny space of time and challenges you to guess the movie within six chances; and there''s Quordle, which assists you in solving four Wordles at once with the
