The Genshin Impacts 3.1 update has new characters and desertdomains

King Deshret and the Three Magi, a MMO action game, are launching today, with three new characters and desert-themed areas to explore. The update is built upon ancient Egypt, with animal-headed gods adorning the walls of pyramids and dusty tombs. Explore the cavernous trailer below and take a look.

The Dry and sand-filled new areas of Hypostyle Desert, Lower Setekh, and Upper Setekh, all formed by priests, and are all part of the Sumeru region. Three new domains are used to sabotage some Primo Gems and Dendro Sigils, while the Altar Of Mirages is a former ritual site once frequented by Jinn and desert-dwellers. You may also venture into the Red Desert Threshold, the legendary jail of an exile

The update focuses on three magi, but you''ll be seeing three new banner characters in Candace, Cyno, and Nilou. Both Cyno and Nilou are getting main story quests, along with the new Archon quest chapters.

Candace is a 4-star Hydro character who is a descendant of the King Deshret fellow. She uses a polearm and a funky shield to damage Hydro thanks to the Herons Sanctum skill. She can also use the elemental burst known as Wagtails Ride, which deals damage based on her max health.

Cyno is a 5-star Electro character and an other polearm wielder. His elemental skill is Chasmic Soulfarer, thrusting his polearm for Electro damage. It can also be used as a Wolfs Switfness to transform him into the Pactsworn Pathclearer, capable of possessing a divine spirit. It causes Cynos normal, charged and plunging attacks to cause Electro damage that cannot be overriden.

Nilou is a 5-star Hydro character who uses a sword instead of a polearm. She loves to dance, and her elemental skill is the Dance of Haftkarsvar. That allows her to adopt a strategy that focuses on Hydro damage in other ways. Her elemental burst is Distant Dreams, Listening Spring, which is causing even more dancing that affects Hydro damage based on her overall health.

The 3.1 update includes new desert-themed enemies and equipment as well as a host of bug fixes. On Genshins'' annoyingly interactive official website, you can find more about it here.
