In the near future, trainers, Niantic, and Pokemon Go have announced that players will have the opportunity to encounter additional Cosmog.
At the start of Season of Light, the Legendary Pokemon Cosmog made its Pokemon Go debut. Only Cosmog is available via Special Research and players must complete step 1 of the season-long Special Research A Cosmic Companion.
Cosmog cannot be shiny, but players will have the opportunity to adapt Cosmog into Cosmoem by employing 25 Cosmog Candy starting October 5, 2022.
Players will have a chance to encounter more Cosmog in the distant future, according to a recent blog post on the official Pokemon Go website. We are uncertain what distant future is and how long we will wait to get more Cosmog, but we hope it will last two-three months.
In October 2022, Cosmoem and Cosmogs will make their Pokemon Go debut during the event Evolving Stars.
