Here''s a look back at the NBC''s intro video on Tuesday afternoon:

Michaels spoke with fans about the casting changes, stating the future season as a "yearof reinvention" that might lead to some "exhilarating" changes. He also spoke forth about what''s ahead of SNL''s important 50th anniversary celebration. Here are some of the highlights:

The COVID-19 Fallout resulted in a much larger SNL cast than Usual: "The epidemic had put us in this position where no one could really leave because there were no jobs." But if I don''t add new people every year, then the show isn''t the show. There must be new people, for both our sake and the audience."

"We got to a point where a lot of people were absent, and people were making short playing time." The show''s overall performance is inspired by that level of expansion. "It''s important to get people off and do other things," says Michaels. "There''s a reason to say goodbye, and there''s a natural time for it, but the pandemic just has enacted."

"With Colin Jost, Michael Che, and "Weekend Update," they say: "Particularly, I just need that part [''Weekend Update'' with Che & Jost] to be as robust as it is."

Is It Your 50th Anniversary/Season for SNL? Big: "We''ll bring everybody back from all 50 years and hosts," says the president. "It will be a very emotional and very strong thing. "There willn''t be as many plus-ones as you can tell you. "
