During season 4, viewers saw Niecy Nash-Betts star as FBI Trainee Simone Clark. Unlike Officer John Nolan (Nathan Fillion) in the series, Simone was bold and decided to make a pivot in her career a little later in life. With a fan base behind her, Simone became forced to run her own spinoff series,.
This week, show creator Alexi Hawley will include another crime procedural to his resume, and it will be interesting to see if his name becomes more synonymous with the genre like his legendary counterpart Dick Wolf.

When will the season 1 of The Rookie: Feds be released?
Season 1 commences on Tuesday, September 27, at 10 pm ET/PT on ABC. New episodes will be available on-demand the next day on Hulu.
