Skull and Bones, a long-awaited pirate game, has been postponed once more, this time until the 9th March 2023.
The first stage of the project, which was first initially revealed in 2017 and in development since 2013, has been pushed back repeatedly - and was previously scheduled to begin in November this year.
Following player feedback from its recent testing program, Ubisoft claimed in a press release this afternoon that it had decided to postpone Skull and Bones once more.
"While the game development is completed at this stage, the additional time will be used to further polish and balance the experience by using players'' feedback from our Technical tests and Insider Program which occurred over the last two weeks," Ubisoft said.
"This is both for our players as well as for the long-term success of the game," says the new CEO. On the 9th March, 2023, this is the appropriate release period for this very unique new brand.
Ubisoft has also confirmed that the game will be open beta in the near future.
Ubisoft said it was "very happy" with progress on the game back in February, five years after it was first announced, and after official delays in both 2018 and 2019.
