PSA: Direct credit card 3DS purchases are coming soon, but there is still a compromise

If you have a Wii U or switch, you may use the same network to pay for it.

Nintendo is ending its direct credit card 3DS purchases soon, with a blip of a month between May 23, 2022. Here''s Nintendo''s full explication on the subject:

In the Nintendo eShop on Wii U or the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, it will no longer be possible to use a credit card.

Nintendo''s announcement on eShop card support comes to an end later this year, on August 29, 2022:

On August 29, 2022, it will no longer be possible to use a Nintendo eShop Card to pay for funds on a Nintendo eShop on Wii U or the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. However, it will still be possible to redeem download codes until late March 2023.

The shutoff valve for credit card 3DS in many regions is applicable to the United States, thus the tunnel is light. If you only have a 3DS, your Switch wallet will connect with old devices. And if you do not have a 3DS (or this doesnt work for you), eShop cards will do the trick until the end of August: and you may purchase 3DS (but not Wii U) software on the Nintendo.com website. So there are many options!

Sure, you have until March 2023 to do that. Make sure you at least get the trilogy!
