Redcrest is a fruit that can be found growing in even the most hostile of desert environments of Sumeru, and is a valuable material resource for emergence of some characters in Genshin Impact.
Candace, a polearm-wielding four-star Hydro, has been introduced by Genshin Impact 3.1; Redcrest is one of her ascension materials, so you will want to collect these desert fruits in order to increase her power.
This guide provides everything you need to know about how to use Redcrest and how to find it.
This page is for the first time.
What is Redcrest used for in Genshin Impact?
Redcrest is a fruit, which, as the name implies, has a bright crimson hue that makes it easy to spot, especially among the vast yellow sands of the desert region in Sumeru. This fruit also grows only on cacti.
You may even climb up to a Redcrest and interact with it to collect it. However, you may be forced to climb up even higher cacti to collect it. Different Redcrests are often grown in one location, which is even better when on a farm.
The only use for Redcrests is to ascend Candace, and you will need 168 Redcrests in total to complete ascend this four-star Hydro character to Level 90.
Where to find Redcrest in Genshin Impact
Redcrests are found in the desert region west of Sumeru, which was previously included in the Genshin Impacts 3.1 update. The desert is, however, lacking as many landmarks as the forest region, so it is best to look at the previously mentioned screenshots where Redcrest locations have been identified.
After arriving at the first Statue of the Seven at the entrance to Aaru Village, head straight to the right of the bridge leading into the village. Returning to an area with three Redcrests growing on a group of cacti, you can climb up an incline that leads you on a path around the village''s outskirts. On this path, youll discover one Redcrest near the start and another.
Continue along this path and reach a teleport waypoint, then reach a steep underpass where youll also find two Redcrests. Continue further down this path, and there''s another Redcrest in the distance you can glide over.
There are more Redcrests you can reach just to the southwest and west of Dar al-Shifa if you return to the teleport waypoint. Three Redcrests are found growing on cacti in a small ravine to the left of the waypoint. If you climb above this ravine, youll find one Redcrest, and youll find some cacti with another Redcrest to pick up.
Head east and cross the sands to find one Redcrest from the teleport waypoint south of Dar al-Shifa. Now head back to that waypoint and drop down below to find one Redcrest, then continue south to discover another cactus that youll need to climb up to collect another Redcrest.
Look east and see some cacti as you descend over the rocks nearby. Proceed south and drop down to the ground below to find a cactus with one Redcrest, and if you continue along this cliff side, youll find another cactus with two Redcrests.
From the teleport point south of Sobek Oasis, travel southeast to find a cacti with three Redcrests as well as some fungi enemies. From the same directionpoint you can exit a lot of ore mining sites to reach some trees and cacti. A Redcrest can be picked up by climbing one of the cacti.
Two Redcrests are being built on a tall cactus from another teleport route south of the previous pathpoint. Fortunately they are growing at its base. From here, head northeast and glide down until you pass over a red tree, before seeing another red tree and cactus together. Drop down to this cactus and you can pick up two Redcrests.
From the teleport waypoint in the most southerly part of the map, head northwest and cross the sands, and youll eventually reach a group of cacti and two Redcrests.
Next, head to the southwest side of the map, and, starting at the teleport waypoint for the Dune of Elusion, head south towards a cliff face where youll find several enemies lurking nearby. Finally, head around to the west and discover one Redcrest growing on a short cactus, while another Redcrest is found a little further ahead by some ruins.
Continue on this journey southwest until you discover another Redcrest on the way to the Dune of Magma, or simply teleport to the landmarks waypoint to get it faster. The cactus where the Redcrest is growing is next to a palm tree.
Head northwest through the mostly desert until you reach some ruins where there are a few palm trees as well as cacti, netting you a total of three Redrests.
Next, head to the northern section of the map where the domain of the Garden of Endless Pillars is, to discover cacti and a total of four Redcrests nearby. Complete the puzzle to access the domain so that they may be reached more easily.
Return to the Dune of Carouses and discover some enemies looting by some ruins, where there are also cacti from you can collect two Redcrests from. Then travel along the coast of Carouses to the temple''s southeast, forming a mini oasis with palm trees and some cacti. Two Redcrests are up for grabs.
The Seven Statue lies just southeast from the Dune of Carouses. From there you can see Redcrests nearby growing from three points.
First, head northwest to pick up one Redcrest. This time head north, using the four-lead sigil to speed up your journey, before returning to lower ground where youll find cacti with two Redcrests.
This time, head east and glide down until you reach some rocks, where you may mine some ore and collect two Redcrests.
The southeast corner of this statue and east of Khemenu Temple is another teleport station where you can also fast-travel to collect two Redcrests growing on a cactus next to it.
We then arrive at Khaj-Nisut and Aaru Village in the northeast of the map, although the teleport waypoint you should use is the one northeast of the Dune of Carouses.
Head southeast of this point, grappling over a big rock in front of you, and youll find a cactus with one Redcrest, continue straight and further down is another group of cacti with two Redcrests.
This time, head east to reach a lower ground. One Redcrest is nearest to you and if you cross over to the other side, youll pick up two more Redcrests. From here, climb up the rocks, keeping to the left where there''s less of an overhang, and, once youre up, continue straight until you see some cacti inside.
Both Redcrests are pretty much on a straight path from the teleport gateway north of Aaru Village. There is still one location of Redcrests to farm, which is between this point and the previous one, but you might as well get them on this run. For these, simply continue southwest, passing some barred cacti and trees, and they will eventually attack if you get too close. Grab them and then climb the cacti to get two Redcrests.
Good luck hunting Redcrests!
