Switch owners can now spend some time in the Underworld. Bandai Namco has announced that the Switch will be available for free. It was the first of its kind released in 2020 on PS4 and PC.

As in the original, Kirito discovers himself trapped in the Underworld, populated by intelligent AI that never realize they live in a computer complex. They will need to contact with some of their real-world friends like Alice, an Integrity Knight, and Eugeo, to assist him in battling the tyrannical Administrator. In a key role, Medina is a young Integrity Knight and a new game-original character.
The Switch version of includes the base game, but a deluxe version adds the Season Pass, which entitles players to two story expansions and a bonus costume. The first expansion, which was released in 2021 on PS4, is, a story focusing on Kirito and Eugeo. The second expansion, brings Kirito to the face of a different challenge: a catastrophe that will destroy the Underworld within 100 days, if its inhabitants aren''t enough.
The game is now available on Switch, as well as PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
