On its Discordserver, Phasmophobia is accused of "housing a sex pest."

Kinetic Games, the independent business that led to massive ghost hunting in Phasmophobia, has been accused of "housing a sex pest" on its official Discord server.

Dandy @ 6.2, who clarifies that they are "not a victim in this," but is "speaking out for a friend who otherwise felt like she had no voice," writes a number of incriminating notes that despite being reported him, the accused "sex pest" known as Charcoal Salamander had yet to be stripped of his "admin" role on the server.

"So who else knew that the Phasmophobia activists are hysteria and living a sex embargo," Dandy told @ 6.2.

"I will not say much about it on behalf of the friend who is STILL dealing with the consequences of it all," says the subject. I''m gonna actually ask people to please not play Phasmophobia anymore, even with the latest update coming out soon. It''s rotten to the core."

Who else knew that the phasmophobia devs are housing a sex pest in their official discord by keeping him under control and refusing to take any charges against him seriously bc I suspect :)

The Twitter thread that was kicked off on 28th September - included correspondence with Phasmophobia''s lead artust and cjdxn, who appeared reluctant to take action without further evidence. Several allegations against Charcoal Salamander include sharing nudes of other people on the Discord channel and abusive remarks.

Charcoal Salamander was stripped of his admin role and banned from the server a few years later.

"Recently we received some information about one of our Discord administrators about sharing sensitive imagery and unrest," cjdxn later said. After reviewing the evidence, we have removed that admin completely from the Discord team, and he will not be rejoining, according to a statement posted on 1st October.

I get an apology, and I will give you a taste of recent developments. pic.twitter.com/zwGyYuSM8T

"Some of my words were rejected poorly and in a rush," I said, "I don''t agree with those actions, nor do I condone racism or sharing images of any kind. I''m absolutely sorry that what I said could have been interpreted differently."

"Some of my DMs about the topic have been removed from context and provide a slightly different picture of what they wanted to express," they added. "My statement of "that just looks like two friends in DMs" was not about the sharing of images at all, but rather a response to their experiences prior to the offer of sharing the image.

"I''m now aware how this may have been very different, and again, my choice of words should have been more sensitive with such a sensitive topic.

"I will not let a situation like this happen in the future, and I apologize wholeheartedly for any part I played in this situation."

Kinetic Games'' spooky ghost hunting sim Phasmophobia has been incorporated into its development roadmap this month, with a lot of extra space on the way.
