The Pokemon Company and Nintendo have announced several ways to commemorate the anniversary of Pokemon UNITE. Read on for more information.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, POKEMON UNITE!
It''s been one year since Pokemon Trainers first arrived on Aeos Island, which means it''s time to honor a year of ferocious battles and spectacular goal zone Aeos energy dunks. The thrill kicks off on Thursday, July 21, 2022, with new Unite licenses, Holowear, and gifts for logging in, the start of Battle Pass Season 9, and a delicious Anniversary Cake Challenge.
Three new Pokemon will boldly enter the fray on July 21, 2022, starting with Glaceon, the Fresh Snow Pokemon. Trainers interested in harnessing Glaceons freezing force may participate in the Icy Glaceon Challenge, which will take place Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 12:00 a.m. PDT to Sunday, August 14, 2022, at 4:59 p.m. PDT. Other Pokemon that will be making their Pokemon UNITE debut during the anniversary festivities include Buzzwole on Wednesday
Take on a different sort of quick battle with Boss Rush. Players join forces to defeat powerful bosses and earn exciting rewards. Fighting hard and fight smart, because the higher your Unite squads score, the better the rewards. Boss Rush will be available at three different times during the anniversary celebration:
- July 21, 2022, at 12:00 a.m. PDT to July 24, 2022, at 4:59 p.m. PDT
- July 31, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to August 7, 2022, at 4:59 p.m. PDT
- August 14, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to August 21, 2022, at 4:59 p.m. PDT
With Battle Pass Season 9 and Band Style: Pikachu Holowear, which will air on July 21, 2022, at 12:00 a.m. PDT, you can hit the perfect pitch with Band Style: Pikachu and Songstress Style: Wigglytuff Holowear. So, prepare yourself to rise through the battle pass levels.
Get in the festive spirit by getting Unite licenses and haute Holowear for five days from July 21, 2022, at 12:00 a.m. PDT and October 12, 2022, at 4:59 p.m. PDT to receive Unite licenses and Holowear:
- Day 1: Pikachu & Fashionable Style: Pikachu
- Day 2: Lucario & Concert Style: Lucario
- Day 3: Blastoise & Firefighter Style: Blastoise
- Day 4: Snorlax & Bedtime Style: Snorlax
- Day 5: Sylveon & Checkered Style: Sylveon
If players already possess any of the Unite licenses or Holowear above, they will receive 100 Aeos coins instead for each Unite license and Holowear they already possess.
There will be a party without cake on July 21, 2022, at 12:00 a.m. PDT, until September 1, 2022, at 4:59 p.m. PDT. Battle and complete missions to collect frosting to build a mouth-watering anniversary cakeall while earning valuable rewards.

Introducing Boss Rush For a limited time, players may take part in Pokemon UNITE''s first PvE-style quick-battle battle in which they compete with other players to defeat powerful Boss Pokemon that appear one after another. The higher a team score in the Boss Rush rankings, the greater the rewards they will receive.

New Feature Pokemon Boost Emblems This pool of items that players may obtain as energy rewards include gold, silver, and bronze. Players may customize loadouts to mimic the effects of Pokemon boost emblems in the battle.
Icy Glaceon Challenge Timing: Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 12:00 a.m. PDT After finishing the special mission challenge, players may earn Glaceons Unite license. Glaceon is an Attacker Pokemon, and its Unite Move is a Glacial Stage. A new Holowear will also be released at the start of the event!
Pikachu Period: Band Style: Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 12:00 a.m. PDT Starting Thursday, July 21, 2022, players may take part in Battle Pass'' latest battle pass season, which includes Band Style: Pikachu Holowear and Wigglytuff Holowear. Battle Pass Season 9 will also include special battle pass missions that reward players with Battle Pass special tickets. Season 5 of Ranked Matches begins Timing: Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. PDT Starting Thursday, July 21, the next season of ranked matches will begin. Tuxedo Style: Decidueye is the reward for getting Ultra rank.
If players invite new friends to Pokemon UNITE, both they and their friends may receive rewards. The player receiving the invitation will receive a random box that will include Holowear tickets, energy boost tanks, and other rewards. After using the invitation code, the invite-a-friend campaign period begins on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. PDT.
PDT Players can receive a wide variety of rewards by joining up with friends or other players who haven''t been in for over 14 days during the Returning Trainer Support Event.

Pokemon boost emblems are being added to the range of items that players can receive as energy rewards. There are three levels of Pokemon boost emblem: gold, silver, and bronze. Players may modify them to create customized loadouts to simulate the effects of Pokemon boost emblems during battle.
