depending on how you feel about the first film, you will not be surprised by the first selection. If you find the first overrated, boring, and the sequel is more of the same. However, if you find the 90''s Halloween staple to be charming and enjoyable, you will have a smile on your face the whole time. One wishes they spent more time encroaching on the new cast additions.
As a Halloween bug, Hocus Pocus 2 should join the first.
While performing their yearly Halloween night ritual, Salem teenagers Becca and Izzy return (returning Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker) back to life. From there, it is a race against time to stop them from abducting the town''s Mayor (Tony Hale), and by enlisting their friend, Cassie, the mayor''s daughter, and even Billy Butcherson (Doug Jones) joins in on the fun.
The Sanderson Sisters are not familiar with modern technology and other things, so this is why the film is often overlooked. It''s also difficult to believe that the first one would be harmful to the whole family, but the other three adults do well.
Did we ever need a movie? Yes, it might have been much worse. In the end, if you enjoyed the first film, you will likely like the follow-up. But, if you didn''t, there is nothing to say about it. This is why the Sanderson Sisters will become known as the Halloween icons they have made over the years.
