Our Radar: Good Omens 2, Velma, Doom Patrol, and More NYCC TV Panels

Our Radar: Good Omens 2, Velma, Doom Patrol, and More NYCC TV Panels

The full NYCC schedule for these days will include HBO Max''s, Hulu''s, AMC''s, Showtime''s, Paramount+''s "Star Trek" Universe, AMC''s, Netflix''s, and a lot of television/streaming news, too. Here''s how we''re understanding this notion:

NYCC: Thursday, October 6th

"Velma" on HBO Max (3:30 PM 5:00 PM): How might you not imagine Mindy Kaling''s reimagining of the Scooby Gang''s adventures in an adult animated environment?

"Koala Man," directed by Hulu, (4:30 PM 5:30 PM): Outside of the co-creator being involved, any series that will allow Hugh Jackman to join its voice cast is worth learning.

Can the follow-up of AMC''s "Anne Rice" Witches" grow a solid foundation for the "Rice-verse" (having already been renewed for a second season?

NYCC: Friday, October 7th

Neil Gaiman, David Tennant, and Michael Sheen, star in Prime Video, but I''m not sure I need to provide more evidence than that, especially if we''ll get a preview. And maybe a fresh deal?

"Teen Wolf: The Movie" and "Wolf Pack" from Paramount+ (6:00 PM 7:00 PM): Two things: more from series creator Jeff Davis on how the series differs from "Teen Wolf : The Movie" & "Wolf Pack," and more from Sarah Michelle Gellar on anything.

"Let the Right One In" from Showtime (8:00 PM 9:30 PM): If for another reason than the fact that this series has been quite under the radar. That''s surprising (and a bit confusing) considering the roles involved and the film it is based on.

NYCC: Saturday, October 8th

"Star Trek Universe" from Paramount+ (3:30 pm 5:30 PM): Okay, for us, it''s all about seeing some footage from the upcoming "Lower Decks"/"Strange New Worlds crossover. And although we know the focus is on "Picard" and "Prodigy," you never know when Alex Kurtzman will drop some news.

"The Walking Dead," written by AMC, is a long-running series that has just begun running. Expect an emotional rollercoaster of epic proportions, as well as some surprise appearances? We know that AMC has already had a few seconds from, so that''s a good indication we might get something more.

Every single thing on Netflix''s "Wednesday" (7:45 PM 8:45 PM) has sparked interest among Tim Burton and Netflix''s Jenna Ortega, who plays "The Addams Family."

NYCC: Sunday, October 9th

Oscar Isaac Spotlight (12:15 PM 1:15 PM): Okay, we''ll keep this one simple. Season 2? Isaac''s MCU future?

An Animation Journey with Cartoon Network and Adult Swim (12:30 PM 1:30 PM): As Warner Bros. Discovery continues its pre-HBO Max/Discovery+-merger financial "fixing," we''d be interested in a bright future. Here''s hoping we get a word on the third season of Adult Swim.

"Doom Patrol" and "Titans" on HBO Max (3:30 PM 5:00 PM) are shown above. While we''re confident that each program''s schedule will be kept updated, we''ll be keeping our eyes and ears focused on future plans.
