The Handmaid''''s Taleseason 5 next episode

The next episode of Season 5 will air on Hulu in the United States on October 12th.

The series is still not available in the United Kingdom, although episodes 1-4 can be seen on Prime Video and All4 if you need to catch up.

What is Season 5 of The Handmaid''s Tale''s plot?

Season 4 came to an end on a very dramatic note, but one that was a long time coming, as June and other Gilead survivors beat Commander Fred Waterford to death in the woods, which will have serious implications.

It''s also probable that we''ll begin to see a focus on Atwood''s second novel, which is the follow-up from the original tale, though, as of today, this is only speculation.

Hulu outlines the season 5 scenario by stating:

"In season 5, June will be subjected to consequences for slaying Commander Waterford while attempting to redefine her identity and purpose. Serena, the widowed, continues to stomp her profile in Toronto as Canadian influence creeps into the country.

"Commander Lawrence collaborates with Aunt Lydia as he strives to reform Gilead and rise to power." June, Luke, and Moira, both fight Gilead from a distance as they continue their quest to protect and reconnect with Hannah.
