There are new eBay listings that include two unreleased NES games, each of which is "one-of-a-kind, never-digitized."
The first of these games is Battlefields of Napoleon, which includes all of its original packaging design (see below).
The second one, however, is where things get really interesting.
This enigmatic and very plain looking cartridge is labelled "CES SAMPLE" and is a demo game specifically for the Power Glove. In addition, it comes from Rare, a Donkey Kong Country developer.
Frank Cifaldi of the Video Game History Foundation saw these listings first (via Kotaku). Cifaldi said he expects these cartridges to reach into the "thousands" easily. At the time of writing, Battlefields of Napoleon is sitting with a current offer of $5100.
Cifaldi has stated that he''s now looking for funding to purchase these NES cartridges for the Video Game History Foundation, a nonprofit organization that aims to preserve, commemorate, and teach the history of video games. However, Cifaldi has also stated that the organization isn''t currently, financially at least, in a position to do this.
"It''s been a stormy year. We''re healthy and happy, but we''re not at a''continue throwing thousands at prototypes when they appear,'' says Cifaldi on Twitter. If anyone wants to help, he concluded by declaring his DMs are open.

Other unexpected and unusual video game related items that have been seen on eBay over the years range from rare Pokemon cards to missing Game Awards trophies.
