Harriet Finch, the first victim of the severe storm, has been declared dead (Katherine Dow Blyton).
Harriet was on a quad bike as she searched for Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) in the midst of the storm for an hour-long 50th anniversary special episode.
When she died in a serious wreck, she was left fighting for her life. She was plunged into a ravine, and the quad bike landed on her, and she became trapped under the vehicle.
Kim Tate (Claire King) was finally found after attempting to save her love rival from the wreckage. But as she tried to get help, a lightning bolt struck the quad bike, causing an enormous damage to the pair.
Kim came around in tonight''s episode (Monday, October 17) after hitting her head on a rock following the blast. But when she checked Harriets'' pulse, she was told her fears were raised that the former vicar had died.
After ten years of dating, Katherine has revealed her unusual souvenir she took away from the set.
"Ive requested the plaque from St. Mary''s Church where she says Harriet Finch was the vicar, and I''ll collect it."
Harriet, who was originally a police detective, was introduced to the soap as Edna Birch''s second cousin and was soon appointed as the feisty new village vicar.
Over the years, Harriet was involved in a number of significant stories, but her personal memory on the time she met with Cain Dingle, a village bad boy (Jeff Hordley).
"It was a challenging task to have an affair with Cain," Katherine said of her, adding to all the Malone narratives was funny to do but enjoyable in a weird way. She is one of the best and most affectionate people I''ve ever met."
