The servers for Nintendo Switch Sports are still down, with no returns date information

The servers of Nintendo Switch Sports are offline, as a result of the most recent update.

Earlier this week, the Nintendo of America Twitter account posted a tweet to reassure players that it would take down servers to investigate an issue with Nintendo Switch Sports. "A bug has been discovered in the Nintendo Switch Sports Ver1.2.1 update, which causes the software to close during the pre-match loading screen," said the tweet. "This is causing both online and offline play modes, which has therefore temporarily suspended the rollout of this update."

Nintendo continued to investigate for a solution, but servers for Nintendo Switch Sports will be temporarily removed, and offline play will not be available during this time. A backup data file is also temporarily suspended. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Nintendo has first reported the bug on October 14, but hasn''t stated when it plans to return servers online, nor has it provided an update on how things progress.

Switch Sports has been constantly updating the game since its introduction, particularly in the summer when it included in several new volleyball moves, leg strap support for football matches, as well as the addition of a S Rank and Infinity Rank in the Pro League.

VG247''s review of Nintendo Switch Sports viewed the game very favorably, putting it four out of five stars, claiming, "One can see how Nintendo might have done more new, and included more all-new stuff." But yet... Nintendo Switch Sports is pretty much exactly what I wanted. I can see how it would be one of my absolute favourite games of the year. That''s Nintendo''s magic power."

Switch Sports became a bit of a surprise, as it came out quite a while after the original Wii Sports, which Nintendo took the time to explain in May.
