Both Starfield and Redfall have been postponed until 2023

Starfield and Redfall will be delayed until the first half of 2023, according to Bethesda''s RPG space epic, which was originally scheduled to debut this summer, but both titles have now been moved back to an unknown time between January and June next year.

''The Arkane Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Games Studios (Starfield) have incredible ambitions for their games, and we want to ensure that you get the best, most polished versions of them when they arrive.

"We want to thank everyone for their enthusiasm for Redfall and Starfield. That energy is a huge part of what inspires everyone every day and fuels our own fascination for what we are doing."

Redfall''s delay isn''t a surprise given that the game has not been revealed since its big reveal at last year''s Microsoft E3 conference. Despite this, Starfield, though, has been receiving regular development updates in the form of music deep dives, companion walkthroughs, and more over the last couple of months, all of which I''d assumed would be leading up to a major large gameplay reveal at this year''s Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase on June 12th.

I should note that we might still receive that big gameplay announcement in June, as Bethesda''s announcement stated the game''s delay, declaring that they''ll be sharing "our first deep dive into the gameplay for Redfall and Starfield in the near future."

Both delays are serious delays to this year''s gaming calendar, as Starfield was one of the few games coming out this year with a standard release date, but it isn''t to be. Here''s all we know about Starfield if you''re in need of a refresher.

Skyrim Grandma Shirley Curry is the person I really feel for in all this, since goodness knows what it will do to The Elder Scrolls 6.
