During the developer''s livestream, EA and Motive have announced a release date for the Dead Space remake.
The Frostbite game engine will transform the classic sci-fi survival horror game from the ground up on January 27, 2023.
The game will feature enhanced audio and crisper visuals that have been carefully reimagined for a fresh level of immersion and character.
"A lot of fun for us at Motive, as were genuine fans of the franchise and want to treat it with the respect it deserves," said Phillippe Ducharme, the director of Dead Space.
"We''re making great progress on our path towards reaching alpha, and we cant wait for players, both old and new, to see how we''ve improved the original experience in the remake to be equally beneficial for this generation.
Isaac Clarke, an engineer on a routine mission to repair a mining ship, is played as a character. However, once on board, he discovers a living nightmare: the crew has been slaughtered and infected, and Isaacs'' girlfriend, Nicole, is missing.
With only his engineering capabilities and ability, he will embark on a fight for non-Necromorphs, but also against his slowly growing sanity.
Today in the livestream, a visual representation of how the remake visually transforms and changes the original, including in-game props, tools, environments, and more being reconstructed for the next generation of hardware and PCs.
The game will feature enhanced effects, such as dynamic volumetric lighting, and atmospheric and environmental VFX being rendered in full-HDR.
