A brand-new version of Pokemon HOME has been announced. Read on below to learn more.

BELLEVUE, WAMay 12, 2022The Pokemon Company International and Nintendo have announced the second version of Pokemon HOME, which will now allow the,, andvideo games to be both mutually compatible with the cloud service app alongside previous games, and Pokemon GO.[1]Players can expect the update in the next weeks.

Pokemon HOME allows trainers to continue their Pokemon adventures beyond a single game system and manage their collection of Pokemon across many of their games. The Pokemon that players can take to each game are limited to the Pokemon that appear in those games. Players may view the details on which Pokemon can be taken to which games from the Help menu of the mobile device version ofPokemon HOME.[2]

Introducing Strange Balls takes place in the distant past of the world of Pokemon, where there are no Poke Balls from other games yet. When Pokemon caught in,,, orare transferred to, they will only appear in Strange Balls. All Pokemon caught in that are toorwill appear in regular Poke Balls.[3]

Players will be able to see Pokemon''s Poke Balls, which they originally caught in.

When combining games to celebrate, andbecoming compatible with Pokemon HOME, players will receive special Pokemon.[4]

Connectivity In the mobile device version of Pokemon HOME, players will receive Rowlet, Cyndaquil, and Oshawott with maximum effort levels.

andConnectivity Players will receive Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup as Mystery Gifts in the mobile version of Pokemon HOME after depositing a Pokemon fromorinto the Nintendo Switch version.

Connectivity Between Various Games Pokemon can learn in, anddiffer from those they can learn in other games, thus a Pokemons moves will not be reflected when it is transferred to another game. When a Pokemon is taken to another game for the first time, the moves it can use will be determined by its level.[5]

If a Pokemon is brought from the game it was caught into another game and learns other moves, then it will return to the game it was caught in, which it will be back to having the initial moves[6].

Players who are connecting toand are able to check the condition of Pokemon that has been stolen fromandto Pokemon HOME as well as their other information.

When connectingandto Pokemon HOME, please be cautious of the following statements.

  • Special Pokemon that can only be caught once during regular gameplay can only be deposited once per save data to Pokemon HOME.

  • The objective ofis to help compile the first Pokedex in the Hisui region. As such, the National Pokedex in Pokemon HOME will update its Pokedex entries based on your completion of the Pokedex in yoursave data.
  • If a Pokedex entry inis incomplete, you will not be able to see that Pokemons entry in Pokemon HOME.

Additional Achievements and Stickers Players can obtain stickers bycompleting achievements with certain compliance in the mobile device version of Pokemon HOME. New achievements and stickers will be based on and added from version 2.0.0 onwards.

Changing Pokemon to a game that they were not initially caught in may make adjustments to known movements, level, and the type of Poke Ball they were caught in.

The only Pokedex in Pokemon HOME was the National Pokedex. However, starting from version 2.0.0, the Pokedex from each game will be added. Pokemon in your boxes in Pokemon HOME will be registered after the ver. 2.0.0 update is implemented. Examples of these Pokemon that have been traded away will not be registered.

By finishing achievements in the mobile device version of Pokemon HOME, you may obtain new stickers to modify your profile. These accomplishments may be accomplished under certain conditions.

While Poke Balls from other games have long existed, it is unlikely that when Pokemon caught in, orare transferred to, they will also appear in Strange Balls. Similarly, when Pokemon caught inare transferred toor, they will also appear in standard Poke Balls.

When you link each game to Pokemon HOME, you will receive a special Pokemon for celebration and becoming compatible with Pokemon HOME.
